Well, and in the blagosphere.
The Sexist has two great take-downs covering the Georgetown Cuddler-esque assaults in Thurston: Lawyer Calls Alleged Sexual Assault “Being Silly” and G.W. Paper Criticizes Sexual Assault Victims’ Lack of “Responsibility”. (PS, the University of Maryland freshman will be facing a grand jury for charges of first-degree burglary, according to the Hatchet).
More on that case was said at Vox Populi, the blog for Georgetown’s paper, The Voice: Sexual assault suspect attempts to enter girls’ beds at GW, gets caught.
On a lighter note, this article in Newsweek is the tale of GWU baseball team alum Tony Dokoupil’s foray into the wacky world of hair modeling. (h/t to Eric)
The Washington Post covers the not-so-million-dollar-a-plate dinner in honor of Senator Edward Kennedy.
And lastly, a blog asks the question “Is Locavorism Really Elitist?,” invoking the neighboring Dupont Farmfresh Farmer’s Market. (h/t to JuliaSea).

Lurves it!
This is not the first instance of the Hatchet opinion page blaming young women for getting sexually assaulted. Here’s a delightful little op-ed where the author basically says, “You got drunk and then got sexually assaulted. What did you EXPECT to happen, girl?”

Oh, I had almost forgotten about that lovely gem. He’s a professional columnist now, you know, so more power to him, but I hope he learned something from the backlash after that one.
