This week in FoBo: GW students want a diner, Obama invades FoBo, MST3K is gonna be awesome live, and escalator problems get inspected.
GW student wants a diner to come to FoBo. While that would be awesome, certain neighborhood entities do a pretty good job of fighting new business in FoBo, especially if it 1) is open late and 2) caters to students. The IHOP in Columbia Heights won’t be that far away though, right?
Obama came to GWU Tuesday night. They shut down the whole Marvin Center, including J Street for his arrival. First he takes over Wall Street, and now J Street!?! I DON’T EVEN RECOGNIZE MY MARVIN CENTER ANYMORE.
It’s Cinematic Titanic tonight at Lisner (that’s Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live!) and tickets are cheap! Puppets and snark! So there.
Remember the days when beer flowed freely in from Foggy Bottom? Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but still — pretty cool.
A shocking report indicates that …. there are major problems with metro escalator maintenance. Gee, I wonder if that’s why they’re always broken? But that’s okay, metro outlined and action plan. While it’s good to see that FoBo escalators are set to be replaced, you should definitely read this well thought and even handed post over at GGW.
