That’s right, FoBoBlo’s favorite FoBo farmers market, FARMFRESH, will be closing up shop at the end of the day next Wednesday, 11/25 (but not forever).
The new season will begin again in the Spring. Don’t miss your opportunity to go grab some of the delicious and fresh goodies while you can.

This week we’ve had some perfect weather, relatively warm, but crisp. You breathe in, and it just makes you feel good. So to match our lovely fall weather, today we’re bringing you a fall treat to match (and the principle ingredient can come from our local Farmers Market). So what’s perfect for Autumn, warm but crisp, and makes you feel good when you smell it?
Why, apple pie, of course!

The Sexist has two great take-downs covering the Georgetown Cuddler-esque assaults in Thurston: Lawyer Calls Alleged Sexual Assault “Being Silly” and G.W. Paper Criticizes Sexual Assault Victims’ Lack of “Responsibility”. (PS, the University of Maryland freshman will be facing a grand jury for charges of first-degree burglary, according to the Hatchet).

Gunpowder Bison & Trading Co. sells one of my absolute favorite kinds of meat: bison. 
If you’ve never had bison before, don’t be intimidated. From a handy pamphlet John at the GBT stand handed me:
Bison tastes like the best beef you’ve ever had, yet it’s lower in fat and cholesterol and higher in protein than chicken…. Bison does not taste “gamey,” in fact it tastes a lot like beef, but tends to have a fuller, sweeter flavor.
Basically, if you like hamburger or steak, you’ll love bison, and I’m going to tell you why.
